{"id":114825,"date":"2023-01-27T16:17:08","date_gmt":"2023-01-27T15:17:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/?p=114825"},"modified":"2023-01-27T16:36:20","modified_gmt":"2023-01-27T15:36:20","slug":"pgo-learning-online-promotion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/news\/pgo-learning-online-promotion\/","title":{"rendered":"Performers Go Online with the Promotion of Lifelong Learning Activities"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the sectors mostly effected by the last years after the COVID-19 pandemic is the <strong>cultural sector<\/strong>. In the last 2 years, the goal of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/performers-go-online\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Performers Go Online<\/a><\/strong> project has been to support the cultural sector in Europe with the <strong>promotion of lifelong learning activities<\/strong> amidst the economic crisis brought by the CoVid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The objective was to <strong>support performers in developing skills<\/strong> that can considerably help them during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Two free online courses were developed<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/new-media-and-e-services\/performers-go-online-promoting-digitally-e-learning-course\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>Performing Digitally E-learning Course<\/strong><\/a>, containing basics of filmmaking such as camera use, lighting, sound recording, video editing and principles of storytelling, all within the context of a \u201cquarantine setting\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/new-media-and-e-services\/pgo-promoting-digitally-e-learning-course\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>Promoting Digitally E-learning Course<\/strong><\/a>, including information about social media and YouTube promotion, pitching of content to cultural institutions, tips on how to create a promotional short in a \u201chomemade\u201d style, and about platforms where the content can be exhibited.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The courses are <strong>free and available in 6 languages <\/strong>(English, French, Italian, Greek, German and Spanish) on the project website: <a href=\"https:\/\/performersgoonline.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><strong>https:\/\/performersgoonline.eu\/<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both the online courses were tested in September - November 2022 by approximately <strong>150 performers<\/strong> with the support of experts in filmmaking and digital marketing. During the&nbsp;testing of the two platforms, <strong>4 webinars were organised in<\/strong> all partners\u2019 countries in order to present the e-courses, answer performers\u2019 questions and guide the participants through the platforms, while organising team building and engagement activities among the performing artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the last months of the project, after the piloting of the online platforms, the participating performers were invited to <strong>make their own promotional videos<\/strong> and test their newly acquired skills. Their videos are <strong>now available on PGO YouTube channel<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@performersgoonline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">www.youtube.com\/@performersgoonline<\/a> and on the PGO <strong>Instagram<\/strong> page: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/performers_go_online\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">www.instagram.com\/performers_go_online\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On <strong>17th January 2023<\/strong> all the PGO project\u2019s partner met in Palermo for the <strong>final meeting<\/strong> of the project, hosted by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">CESIE<\/a><\/strong>. The partners decided the final steps of the projects and the measures to be taken to ensure the <strong>sustainability<\/strong> of the project results after the end of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A big final event<\/strong> was also arranged in Palermo by CESIE on <strong>20<sup>th<\/sup> January<\/strong> with the aim of meet many local performers and let them know about the project, its results and support them in widening their network.
