{"id":111691,"date":"2022-11-11T09:42:59","date_gmt":"2022-11-11T08:42:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/?p=111691"},"modified":"2022-11-11T09:44:13","modified_gmt":"2022-11-11T08:44:13","slug":"micreate-publications-integration-migrant-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/higher-education-and-research\/micreate-publications-integration-migrant-children\/","title":{"rendered":"New publications on contemporary integration processes of migrant children"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/micreate\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>MiCREATE<\/strong><\/a> research involved more than 6000 migrant and local children across schools, refugee centres, camps, asylum homes, more than 500 educational staff and teachers, and more than 40 schools in <strong>10 countries <\/strong>(Denmark, Spain, UK, Austria, Slovenia, Poland, Italy, France, Greece, Turkey).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MiCREATE research <strong>examined contemporary integration processes of migrant children<\/strong> in order to empower them. It encouraged <strong>integration of different groups of migrant children <\/strong>into the host society with a use of a <strong>child-centered approach <\/strong>and improved the <strong>knowledge about the peer dynamics in schools <\/strong>in relation to integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The research outcomes were organized into a <strong>series of reports and publications<\/strong> as following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/micreate-contemporary-debates-on-migrant-children-integration\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>Contemporary Debates on Migrant Children Integration<\/strong><\/a> presents some of the key contemporary debates on child migrants and their educational contexts, and what integration means to them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/?p=101675\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>EU Policy Framework for Integration of Migrant Children<\/strong><\/a> describes the main features of the contemporary EU policy framework on integration of migrants and migrant children with particular emphasis on education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/micreate-snapshot-good-practices\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>Snapshot of Good Practices for Integration of Migrant Children<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/micreate-snapshot-innovative-approaches\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>Snapshot of Innovative Approaches for Integration of Migrant Children<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>produces a sample list from the 6 study countries (Austria, Denmark, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and the UK), with snapshots of case studies based on best practices and innovative approaches to integration through adaptive practices, social interactions, inter-cultural practices through bottom-up approaches and also implicit ways of integration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/micreate-reception-communities-report\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>Reception communities state of art report<\/strong><\/a> presents the data on migration and migrant children, gaps in data, comments, analysis and conclusions from 6 countries (Austria, Denmark, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and the UK).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/micreate-reception-communities-fieldwork-with-experts\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>Reception communities\u2019 fieldwork with experts<\/strong><\/a> presents the findings from the national researches implemented across 6 countries (Austria, Denmark, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and the UK) that aimed to evaluate migration and integration policy landscape and new trends in this area with a focus on migrant children.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/micreate-political-and-media-discourse-analysis\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>Political and media discourse analysis and review of public opinion<\/strong><\/a> presents the political and media discourse around migration from 6 countries (Austria, Denmark, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and the UK). It presents main debates on migration, changes in public attitudes towards migration issues, representations of migrants and refugees in migration and conclusions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/micreate-educational-community-school-systems-comparative-report\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>Comparative Research Report on educational community members and school systems<\/strong><\/a> summarises and establishes a comparative dialogue with the main results emerging from research on educational communities and school systems in six European countries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/micreate-comparative-qualitative-research-report\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>Comparative Qualitative Research Report on the inclusion of newly arrived migrant children, on long-term resident children, on local children\u2019s role in supporting the inclusion of migrant children<\/strong><\/a> presents the results of a qualitative multi-method study conducted among 10\u201319 year-old children and young adults in schools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/risorse\/educazione-formazione\/micreate-comparative-survey-analysis\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>Comparative Survey Analysis on newly arrived migrant children, on long-term resident children, on local children\u2019s role in supporting the inclusion of migrant children<\/strong><\/a> presents the results of a quantitative survey conducted among children and young adults in schools in six countries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/micreate-reflexive-methodology-migrant-children\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>Reports on Reflexive Methodology Research<\/strong><\/a> with newly arrived migrant children, long-term resident children, local children.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/micreate-comparative-report-migrant-children-in-transition\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>Comparative Report on the experiences of migrant children<\/strong><\/a> in hotspots, camps, asylum homes, reception and detention centers in Italy, Slovenia, France, Poland, Austria, Turkey.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/micreate-guide-for-teachers\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Guides for Teachers<\/a><\/strong> on multicultural education and diversity management, on solving interethnic conflict at school, on art-based practices to support inclusion, best practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/risorse\/educazione-formazione\/micreate-europen-policy-brief\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>European Policy Brief<\/strong><\/a> presents the research, summarises the most important policy-relevant findings, and the cross-country policy recommendations for integration of migrant children in education, as they follow from the MiCREATE project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>MiCREATE<\/strong> \u2013 Migrant Children and Communities in a Transforming Europe,
