Cultural and creative sectors<\/strong> (CCS) are important to ensure the ongoing development of societies and are at the heart of the creative economy. Knowledge-intensive and based on individual creativity and talent, they generate considerable economic wealth<\/strong>. More importantly, they are critical to a shared sense of European identity, culture and values. In economic terms, they show above-average growth and create jobs - particularly for young people - while strengthening social cohesion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digital transformation<\/strong> in CCS has become a priority, especially after the pandemic, which has shown the lack of digital skills of CCS professionals during the restrictions. To support the digital preparedness<\/strong> of the sector, the RestART<\/a><\/strong> project\u2019s partners has started to develop an online platform, the MOOC-ART, through which CCS actors will improve their digital skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 5th<\/sup> and 6th<\/sup> October in Helsinki, hosted by Helsinki Business College, the partners decided the main structure and contents of the platform defining also the next steps of the project implementation. The materials in the MOOC-ART platform<\/strong> will focus on technical skills, such as content production and editing, communication skills, such as storytelling and networking, and digital marketing skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through its products RestART addresses not only the CCS actors needing to improve their digital and transversal vocational skills<\/strong>, but also the CCS oriented VET providers<\/strong> that are not confident and sufficiently skilled in using digital technologies in training and wish to acquire the necessary competences to adapt to the new trends.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting from January 2023<\/strong>, creative learners will have the chance to test the MOOC-ART online platform<\/strong>, where through different interactive learning activities they will improve their digital skills and knowledge to enhance their work in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
