After drafting the five training guides last year, in spring <strong>we tested the materials on the ground with future teachers and future sports trainers<\/strong> (students from Sports and Education Faculties). We wanted to know from them: how relevant and useful is such a training on accessible play, which ensures participation of children with disabilities? And which suggestions for improvement of the PINC training course do they have?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/pinc-guide-formazione-gioco-inclusivo.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-111096\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/pinc-guide-formazione-gioco-inclusivo.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/pinc-guide-formazione-gioco-inclusivo-980x735.jpeg 980w, https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/pinc-guide-formazione-gioco-inclusivo-480x360.jpeg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Pilot training in Spain<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>A very necessary training, we have not had content on inclusion, until now, in any subject of the degree\" said a Spanish student at the end of the training.<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While many students <strong>commented positively on the contents on inclusion and inclusive play,<\/strong> several of our pilot participants wished for <strong>even more practical advice <\/strong>how to concretely adapt games for children with disabilities. Thanks to the constructive comments, the PINC partnership started to re-work the PINC course contents. The partnership meeting in Palermo on 28-29 June 2022 was the starting point for this \u2013 in four groups we elaborated the major modifications. Now the work has almost been completed, and so our final training guides on inclusive play will soon be available \u2013 first in English, and then in all partner languages!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here is a little sneak peek on what you will learn with the five PINC Training Guides:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Guide 1 explains <strong>different models of disability and why inclusion is a right<\/strong>; it also presents a change model for <strong>rendering education more inclusive<\/strong> and compares the <strong>different states of play in inclusive education<\/strong> in the PINC partner countries Belgium, Czech Republic, Greece, Italy and Spain;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guide 2 lies <strong>a theoretical basis for inclusive play<\/strong>: it addresses the fundamentals of design, methodology and evaluation of play for all, starting with an <strong>awareness of social, sensory, communication and physical barriers<\/strong>, etc. and identifying them in the natural play environment in breaks during the school day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guide 3 is conceived as a <strong>Practical Game Guide<\/strong>, providing guidance on how to carry out in practice the concepts delineated in the Theoretical Guide to Play.
