\"Solving problems encountered in life and at work and proposing solutions; assessing risks and opportunities; choosing between different options; making decisions; acting flexibly; designing and planning; knowing one's environment also in relation to one's resources\":<\/em> the spirit of initiative and entrepreneurship is one of the 8 European key competences for lifelong learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an ever-changing economic and social context characterised by high unemployment rates, people's entrepreneurial skills seem to become really crucial for economic recovery, job creation, inclusion and poverty reduction, because fostering innovation leads to a fairer and more inclusive society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main objective of the DIBS project<\/a><\/strong> is to promote the entrepreneurial skills<\/strong> of people of foreign origin, thus fostering their socio-economic and cultural inclusion. To this end, the partnership will first carry out a desk and field research on the migrant population\u2019sl skills, in order to carry out a needs analysis for a modular and scalable programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the basis of this initial phase, the partnership will develop teaching materials for a capacity-building programme<\/strong>, which will be piloted with people of foreign origin in all partner countries, thus promoting their entrepreneurial skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the project envisages the creation of public-private partnerships to support the establishment of foreign-led social enterprises and the implementation of inclusive business workshops on an interactive online learning platform. Those who participate will receive certificates from Loyola University at the end of the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Partners are currently implementing the field research in Spain, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and Ireland, including focus groups with entrepreneurship experts, professionals working with migrants as well as foreign-born entrepreneurs to learn from their experience and better understand the challenges related to entrepreneurship, thus gaining insights into the learning needs that should be addressed by the teaching materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DIBS \u2013 Digital Inclusive Business School<\/a> is a project funded by the Erasmus+ programme, KA2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices \u2013 Strategic Partnerships for adult education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
