On June 23, 2022, the final meeting of the ECHO-Tourism<\/a><\/strong> project was held in Coutances, France, aimed at producing training resources for tourism professionals, in order to encourage the development of a new social and environmental responsibility linked to the management of tourism activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was attended by international partners from France, Italy, Croatia and Greece who presented their European experiences, involving both tourism professionals, tourists but also citizenship, in order to promote sustainable tourism and responsible daily practices \u201ceco tips\u201d<\/strong> to be adopted at work, at home, when travelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Italy, the ECHO-Tourism project involved different stakeholders: 80% tourism stakeholders - including both professionals and tourists; 11% members of environmental associations and volunteers, 12% other - including architects, engineers and other experts dealing with ecotourism <\/strong>and responsible tourism<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Coutances, partners discussed about the last results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Eco tips guide<\/a>: document containing a series of small daily practices and useful advices referring to 6 main themes: water, food, energy, mobility and transport, cultural and natural heritage, waste management<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. ECHO-Tourism online course \u2013 MOOC<\/a>: online course including 6 topics: water, food, energy, mobility and transport, cultural and natural heritage, waste management<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. ECHO-Tourism Methodological Guide<\/a>: methodology adopted by ECHO-Tourism to launch new challenges and develop new strategies in the field of responsible and sustainable tourism<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Competence framework<\/a>: document that sets out a set of skills and competences to be acquired by tourism professionals<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Consumption monitoring platform<\/a>: online tool that allows you to monitor your consumptions of water, energy, gas, coal. so as to highlight the trend and plan new strategies for their reduction (both at home, at work, and within any tourist services and facilities)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    ECHO-Tourism<\/a> is cofinanced by Erasmus+ programme: Key Action 2, Strategic partnerships Adult Education, aimed at creating training resources for all professionals interested in deepening their knowledge of ecological best practices and related to responsible tourism, and its management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
