{"id":107992,"date":"2022-05-05T18:21:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-05T16:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/?p=107992"},"modified":"2022-07-13T18:24:29","modified_gmt":"2022-07-13T16:24:29","slug":"value-parental-involvement-childrens-education-parentsengage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/news\/value-parental-involvement-childrens-education-parentsengage\/","title":{"rendered":"Recognising the value of parental involvement in their children&#8217;s education"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Parental involvement in a child\u2019s school studies<\/strong> is known to be an effective way to increase the academic performance of children with migrant backgrounds and to fight against trends in early school leaving.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recognising the value of this parental involvement in a child\u2019s educational pathway, <strong>Parents Engage will act as a support network for parents of migrant children<\/strong> to help them become actively involved in their children\u2019s education. The project will engage with schools and educators, building a strong support network for children with a migrant background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parents Engage aims to construct <strong>a robust model for inclusive educational practices<\/strong> to increase the partnerships between parent and school communities. This objective will materialise through the use of digital storytelling and the creation of a mobile app targeted towards parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond this, the project will construct <strong>a set of robust policy recommendations<\/strong> to encourage a continued focus on encouraging the engagement of parents of migrant and schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first step in this journey is the collection of tried and tested innovative strategies that promote parental inclusion in education activities.
