After the massive digitalisation that has been happening in Europe in the last years, all the sectors, including performing arts, have tried to become more digital. Bearing in mind the objectives of the Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027)<\/a> and the consequences of the economic crisis brought by the COVID-19 pandemic in the cultural sector, the Erasmus+ project Performers Go Online<\/a> has been working in this direction: to overcome the lack of basics on filmmaking and digital marketing skills of performing artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 8th<\/sup> June in Barcelona, hosted by La Xixa Teatre<\/a>, the partners of the project met and agreed on the finalisation of 2 innovative online platforms: Performing Digitally e-learning course<\/strong> and Promoting Digitally e-learning course<\/strong>. The first platform will contain basics of filmmaking such as camera use, lighting, sound recording, video editing and principles of storytelling, also within the context of a \u201cquarantine setting\u201d. The second platform will include information about social media and YouTube promotion, pitching of content to cultural institutions, tips on how to create a promotional short in a \u201chomemade\u201d style, and about platforms where the content can be exhibited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both the platforms will be available in September in 6 languages: English, Italian, Spanish, French, German and Greek and from September to November 2022<\/strong> will be tested by 150 performing artists with the support of experts in filmmaking and digital marketing. During the testing of the two platforms<\/strong>, 4 webinars will organised in all partners\u2019 countries in order to present the e-courses, answer performers\u2019 questions and guide the participants through the platforms, while organising team building and engagement activities among the performing artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the webinars, all the artists will have the chance to produce their own homemade videos to promote their art and share it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participation in the training related to the 2 online platforms will be a good chance for artists to join a network of performers and to wide their digital world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
