Empathy, design thinking and problem solving: at the ITC Ferrara School in Palermo a dialogue with students on the transversal skills necessary in the XXI century has started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Transversal skills<\/strong> are increasingly required by companies: increasingly often during a job interview it may happen that the candidate is asked to solve problems (situational tests<\/em>) or to show their ability to work in a group or candidate\u2019s communication skills. This happens because soft skills are considered essential in the XXI century: it is a set of skills that relate to the personal sphere of the individual and that can range from the ability to manage stress to that of leading a team or being guided by a leader within a group. These skills are necessary to create a serene but at the same time dynamic work environment. Unlike technical skills, which concern specific knowledge acquired through study or professional experience, soft skills constitute an extra gear that can make a difference for the candidate during a job interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The students of ITC Ferrara began this path within the ADDET - Apprenticeship for the Development of Design Thinking<\/strong><\/a> project that aims to develop problem solving and design thinking skills within schools.
