The Covid-19 pandemic and the consequent forced isolation<\/strong> has transformed the relationship between the individual and the city in a direction of greater detachment, fear and mistrust. The consequences of isolation and precariousness on citizens\u2019 mental health<\/strong> were also significant. We believe that, in this context, art and expressiveness can play an important role in healing the relationship between individuals with the urban and social dimension<\/strong>, especially for all those who have experienced isolation as a traumatic event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are the issues we want to reflect and work on during the residential workshop organized by CESIE as part of the FAE \u2013 Fusion of Arts and Education<\/a>  project. The work will be built around the text of The Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino<\/strong> and will have Danza Duende as an expressive tool.\u00ae\ufe0fDanza Duende<\/strong> is the art of creating fields of wisdom through dance to promote the search for authenticity in order to \"Dance one's life\". If we let ourselves to \"be here and now\", every activity of daily life can be experienced as a dance and become a form of art. Danza Duende is also a school that has developed into an international network of artists who promote diversity and peer-to-peer exchange in the construction of a more empathic and freer society<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>Practical Information<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The residency will be held every day from 23 to 27 March h 9: 30-17: 00<\/strong> at Arci Tavola Tonda (Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa) and includes a final performance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NB:<\/strong> It is necessary to participate every day and participation is limited to a small group. So please register only if truly interested and available. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take part in a Danza Duende art residency on the topic of the relationship between the individual and urban space! Participation is open to all and there is no need for previous experience in art or theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anastasia Francaviglia<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduated in Cultural Anthropology. Artist, dancer, teacher, choreographer and director. She is an expert in education and training with a holistic background in the performing arts and with an international and intercultural vision. You have directed and coordinated various artistic and cultural projects both nationally and internationally: the Italian Academy of Arab Dance, the Palco Scalzo dance and theater festival, the gypsy dance company Zigana Clan. She actively works within the DanzaDuende\u00ae\ufe0fInternational School project holding workhops and residencies throughout Europe and is a member of the DanzaDuende Salamantras company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soad Ibrahim<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Italian-Egyptian dance therapist, who has studied many different forms of dance (oriental, traditional Mediterranean, contemporary, classical, dance therapy). Since 2005 Soad has been dedicated to promoting dance as a means of inclusion in intercultural contexts with migrants, asylum seekers, nomads and children.In the last decade, Soad has been working on projects to promote dance as a means of social inclusion at CESIE in Palermo. His work also includes collaborations with the Atlante Theater, proposing to the actors paths of awareness of the body in movement and dance for adults. She is a member of the UNESCO CID (International Council of Dance).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
