{"id":100599,"date":"2022-01-03T13:42:37","date_gmt":"2022-01-03T11:42:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/?p=100599"},"modified":"2022-01-03T13:43:33","modified_gmt":"2022-01-03T11:43:33","slug":"social-economy-action-plan-morethanajob","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/news\/social-economy-action-plan-morethanajob\/","title":{"rendered":"A new Action Plan for the Social Economy: boosting proximity and social economy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em><\/em><em>Bridging the gap between services provided by public authorities, and the services and products provided by the market, the social economy delivers alternative and tailor-made solutions to local needs and acts as a trusted partner to public authorities<\/em>.<\/p><p><\/p><p>[EU Commission, <em>Scenarios towards co-creation of a transition pathway for a more resilient, sustainable and digital Proximity and Social Economy industrial ecosystem<\/em>, December 2021]<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the 9th of December 2021, the European Commission adopted the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/social\/main.jsp?langId=en&amp;catId=89&amp;newsId=10117&amp;furtherNews=yes#navItem-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><strong><em>Social Economy Action Plan<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em>, <\/em><\/strong>running until 2030, putting forward concrete measures to help mobilise the full potential of the social economy. In it, the European Commission recognises <strong>the role of social economy actors in supporting public authorities through the provision of welfare and social services<\/strong> fostering the inclusion of the most vulnerable groups in our societies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Social economy actors could provide innovative bottom-up solutions to many of the global challenges of today, especially climate change, digitalisation and social exclusion. They are largely locally-rooted and, as such, a driver for local growth and for the development of more sustainable and inclusive economy and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through the Plan, the European Commission encourages Member States to adopt or update their social economy strategies and measures in cooperation with social economy stakeholders into <strong>three main areas<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Creating the right conditions for the social economy to grow<\/li><li>Opening opportunities for social economy organisations to start up and scale up<\/li><li>Making sure the social economy and its potential are absolutely recognised<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Take an action: participate to the \u201ctransition pathway\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through the Action Plan, the Commission is also launching a \u201ctransition pathway\u201d to help the green and digital transitions of the social economy in dialogue with public authorities and interested parties.
