In a more and more digital world, it is essential to boost one\u2019s own competences to participate fully in the community and make smart choices online and in life: young adults need to be guided in this learning path from a young age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the key role of digital technologies and data literacy competences in education, it is essential to support the teachers<\/strong> in strengthening their own knowledge and skills on <\/strong>these challenging topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To achieve this goal, <\/strong>D3<\/a><\/strong> project partners have developed a training course for teachers: a free online course<\/strong> that aims at reinforcing the competences of secondary school teachers in the use of open data in their educational plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course is divided into modules, according to the results emerged from project partners\u2019 research in their countries, about digital data literacy opportunities and the teachers\u2019 competences in this field. Each module is divided in units that include a brief theoretical introduction<\/strong> and activities<\/strong> both for beginners and experts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Introduction.<\/li>
  2. Information and data literacy.<\/li>
  3. Digital data (content) creation.<\/li>
  4. Communication and collaboration through open data.<\/li>
  5. Problem solving with open data.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
