In recent years, technologies have taken on an increasingly central role in social life, especially in adolescence.<\/strong> These tools have become indispensable for children and young people, offering means of communication, access to information, study, creativity and social participation<\/strong>. The 2018 Censis survey<\/strong> revealed that only 27% of young people interviewed connect to the Internet via PC<\/strong>, confirming the dominance of the smartphone as the main internet access device for young people (Save The Children, 2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a digital world where children and teenagers find themselves using platforms that are not always designed for them, they expose themselves to significant risks<\/strong>: between the ages of 11 and 13, cases of cyberbullying <\/strong>are on the rise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The challenge, however, is not just about social media<\/strong>. Many schools find themselves unprepared to deal with these phenomena, while the student population's knowledge of prevention tools<\/strong> is equally poor: only 18% of them know which figure to refer to in cases of bullying and cyberbullying in their school, while the 51% have never heard of it. (Save The Children, 2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To face these challenges<\/strong>, the SOPHIE<\/strong><\/a> project promotes a revolutionary approach<\/strong> to education, based on the reduction of early school leaving<\/strong> and on an ever-increasing digital inclusion,<\/strong> resilience and safety in the school community.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through an inclusive and collaborative approach involving teachers, educators and families,<\/strong> SOPHIE<\/strong><\/a><\/strong> is committed to providing guidelines, tools and targeted strategies<\/strong> to address the challenges of online learning safely and effectively<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOPHIE<\/strong><\/a> represents a step forward in digital education<\/strong>, ensuring that no one is left behind and that everyone has the opportunity to learn in a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
