Home / School / TEACHmi: Valuing diversity towards more inclusive realities

Intercultural learning environments are not just spaces where people with different backgrounds and from different cultures coexist and work. They are educational spaces in which a positive attitude towards different cultures is created, in which every student feels at home and valued. However, the creation of such environments requires appropriate skills and knowledge and the active involvement of the entire school community.

Over the course of two years, the international partnership of the Erasmus+ project TEACHmi collaborated on the development of tailored educational resources, teachers’ manuals and guidelines, aimed at supporting the creation of more inclusive learning environments.

The project addresses students with a migrant background and professionals committed to the strengthening of the intercultural character of learning environments, by providing them with tools to achieve such a complex goal.

In order to promote the project’s innovative methodologies and approaches, an informative event was held in Palermo on the 20th October, a meeting aimed at strengthening cooperation between civil society organisations and schools and fostering the exchange of good practices.

In particular, participants were guided through the use of the TEACHmi platform, which allows direct access to the developed resources:

Furthermore, the platform offers the opportunity to interact with other professionals and increase your skills and knowledge in the field of inclusive and intercultural education through the forum. Access the forum now to ask further information and to share your experiences! In November, project partners will gather in Cyprus on the occasion of the final meeting and conference, a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge in the field of inclusive and intercultural education at international level.
