Schools are faced with the major challenge of responding to the needs of increasingly multicultural learning environments. Indeed, schools have a primary role in identifying students’ needs and in providing equal opportunities, reducing the gap in educational performance levels, and instilling greater hopes for the future. Yet, several obstacles remain in such a complex process. How can we contribute to greater inclusiveness and interculturality of our learning environments?
Join the event “EU School – Scuola ed Europa: per un’educazione di qualità, equa e inclusiva”, on Thursday 20th October from 15.00 at Villa Filippina (Piazza San Francesco di Paola, 18, Palermo, Italy) to discover innovative resources that can contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda’s Sustainable Development Goals.
During the event we will present the resources developed in the framework of the Erasmus+ project TEACHmi, aimed at strengthening the intercultural dimension of our learning environments and facilitating the inclusion of students with migrant background, providing support materials to help the professionals active in this difficult task.
The project’s international partnership collaborated in the development of innovative resources, guidelines and teaching approaches, which will be freely available online on the project platform:
- Toolbox of Teaching Languages of Schooling
- Manuals for teachers
- Guide for assessment
The event will be a unique chance to promote cooperation between CSOs and schools in the field of primary and secondary education.
