On February 9th, we celebrate the Safer Internet Day “Together for a better Internet”. With our projects we want to promote the conscious use of the web and digital civic education, both for young people and for adults, underlining how the web and information technologies can be important in our life, but we must be very careful how use them without incurring in offensive acts and/or be victims of that.
On January 27th and 28th 2021, as part of the CHOICE project, CESIE held an international training sessions on Open Educational Resources (OER) co-production adopting a STE(A)M approach.
As the end of the REFORM project approach, on the 25h of January 2021, CESIE organised an online event to promote and disseminate the results of the project, including its main outcome: the CC-Box, a collection of teaching and learning innovative methodologies for career counselling in schools, that have been tested, adapted and implemented in the partner countries.
The CHOICE project aims to increase young people’s motivation to choose STEM careers through a practice-oriented multidisciplinary approach to teaching STEM subjects. And thus, in the longer run, to contribute to the preparation of workforce capable of facing future complex challenges.
The phenomenon of early school leaving still poses serious challenges on the European level, making it necessary to introduce common preventive measures since the first stages of education and to create innovative educational instruments.

Digital data literacy fosters critical thinking, reflection, responsibility and curiosity. Sharing data is fundamental for research, development, responsible policy-making, democracy. These topics were discussed during the online Social Cafè “Tecnologia per tutt*”, organized on 15th October 2020, during the Erasmus+ days.
From 12 to 14 October 2020 the IN2STEAM partners met on-line and finalized the six modules of the future on-line course, in the OER (open educational resource) version, directed to primary school teachers.
The 1st Info Day of the Erasmus+ project TEACHmi took place on Friday 16th October 2020: the event, celebrated during the Erasmus+ days 2020, was an opportunity for comparison and constructive dialogue, involving schools, local organizations and representatives of the Municipality of Palermo.
This year counts the 4° Edition of the Erasmus Days! CESIE has organised some offline and online events where best practices and experiences carried on during the Erasmus+ projects implementation will be discussed.

The purpose of the project GEM IN is to support intercultural education at school and in non-formal youth environment, to be a vehicle to foster a multicultural approach to education and learning, enhancing social inclusion, promoting cross-cultural dialogue and active citizenship by promoting European shared values.
With our projects, we want to support the recovery of the sector and contribute to the upskilling of professionals, encouraging the rediscovery of the roots and cultural blends that characterize our heritage.
We are currently working on a new resource: Metropolis Practitioner Toolkit. It offers a guide for professionals on how to harness digital developments in their work, including instructions on Metropolis City Maps and an analysis of local labour market.
