From the 16th to the 18th March 2015, the MANUCULTURA Kick off Meeting took place in Vienna. In 3 days meeting, the partners Alnatura (Germany), Museum of Contemporary Art (Croatia), CESIE (Italy), ARKEN Museum of Modern Art (Danemark) had a great time to get to know deeply the hosting partner (KulturKontakt Austria) and its good practices in the field of cultural education, by practicing them with professional trainers and experts in the field of education and art.
The aim of the good practices proposed and of the overall project in general is to facilitate the approach to “Art” of youngsters that do not have the chance or interest in getting closer to this cultural communication/expression tool. In fact, the good practices that the partnership foreseen to collect and share are addressed to trainers, teachers and employers which are interested to enrich their curricula and working plan with cultural programme/activities; as we think that all actors involved can benefit from it. According to the Final Report on ACCESS OF YOUNG PEOPLE TO CULTURE, EACEA/2008/01, cultural education provides apprentices with opportunities for personality development and thus also for professional advancement.
Those good practices will be enclosed with recommendations, which will be developed during the project lifetime by the partners. The diversity of the partnership will guarantee that the recommendations reflect the needs and point of view of business enterprises, VET schools and cultural institutions.
As follow up of the project, the results are to be integrated into training programmes and, introduced as pilot test in cultural institutions, business firms and VET schools in the respective partner countries.

The project is planned for a period of two years. Meetings at which the partners present their work and engage in joint reflection will be held in all the participating countries.
