Objectives

  • Facilitate the integration of migrants in the local economy
  • Cover labour market needs by matching migrants’ skills
  • Provide them with with caregiving skills, as well as soft skills

Activities

  • Literature, policy and procedure review on migrants’ employment & unemployment rates, as well as educational status, theoretical and methodological approaches of their integration into labour market.
  • Field research analysis, plus focus groups with migrants and relevant stakeholders
  • Training curriculum design & implementation (train the trainers)
  • Platform design & piloting based on need analysis of the users

  • Development of Training Package & Train the Trainer Events
  • Development of Online Platform and Toolkit

Impact

  • Migrants will be provided with basic caregiving and language skills
  • Consortium members will gain more expertise and will be equipped with an innovative blended training package
  • Relevant stakeholders (chambers of commerce, trade unions, training institution, etc.) will be more aware about the need to integrate migrants in the labour market
  • Migrants and relevant stakeholders will have the possibility to connect and further network through the platform
