Objectives

  • To promote the construction of meaningful, shareable exhibits of female role models as a means for encouraging girls and women to remain active in STEM.
  • To develop a community of mentors and mentees in order to engage learning, supporting and helping women in regards to their career-decisions in STEM.
  • To promote the FeSTEM approach through networks of project partners, events and conferences.
  • To build a close cooperation with the business sector in order to inform the project with real-life scenarios and disseminate its findings to the industry.

Activities

  • Research on academic and industrial levels into the challenges and expectations of women in STEM.
  • Development of a toolbox and digital materials for constructing gender-sensitive exhibits.
  • Development, implementation and evaluation of the gender-sensitive methodology.
  • Creation and promotion of the FeSTEM community platform for the empowerment of women in STEM.

  • FeSTEM Online Learning Unit (will be uploaded after finalization)
  • FeSTEM industry-infomed Toolkit (will be uploaded after finalization)
  • FeSTEM Community of Practice (CoP) (will be uploaded after finalization)
  • FeSTEM community platform for empowering women in STEM (will be uploaded after finalization)

Impact

  • 20 teachers and students will participate in transnational learning, teaching and training activities.
  • Approximately 25-30 students will attend to STEM MAKER TEAMS.
  • 150 educators will take part in training activities.
  • Min. 100 participants will join the FeSTEM community platform.
