Employment means social integration: CESIE has launched the support service for women victims of trafficking.
In the aftermath of the spreading of the Coronavirus pandemic, vulnerable people such as women victims of trafficking (VoTs), have been pushed to the margins of society. Most of them have lost their job and the so-called “lockdown” prevented trafficked women from searching a new employment.
In this regard, occupation and employment are crucial and often constitute the starting point for women’s integration into the host society, paving the way to their economic independence.
In the past few months, we have invited organizations and institutions providing support to VoTs to participate in 5 conference meetings (INFO DAYS) in order to discuss and exchange views on this specific issue. Additionally, these “informative days” provided an opportunity to introduce the support service for victims of trafficking and debate about training and job opportunities for vulnerable women. The integrated and gender-specific service provided by CESIE is dedicated to promote the access of women VoT for sexual exploitation to the labour market. In this framework, the service offers individual training courses on 3 main areas:
- Informatic and digital skills
- Italian language
- Soft skills.
By acquiring new competences, trafficked women can widen their range of skills and prepare themselves to enter the labour market. As a matter of fact, VoTs should make the most out of this period of deadlock and forced inactivity attending training course and then, investing on themselves.
The service is completely free and is appointment-based. If you wish to learn more or if you wish to make an appointment with us, please call or send a message on Whatsapp on this number: +39 3510833135.
In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, the support service provides also information concerning health assistance, subsidies and aids to vulnerable families, legal orientation, etc.
