CESIE’s actions in India
- Educational activities with children and adults: Promotion Primary Education & Child Rights through recreational activities within the ‘Stone Crusher Children Schools’ that aim to eliminate child labour through the opening of non-formal education centres where daily more than 400 children attend classes | Support the curricular and extra-curricular activities in local and rural schools | Free language course offers (English, Italian, French) for children, teachers and social workers | Cultural-exchange events among volunteers and local communities.
- Activities in the area of health: Participation in recreational and educational programs for disabled children or born with birth defects | Promotion and valorization of urban gardens as tools and location for social inclusion and healthy lifestyle activities.
- Activities in the area of social development: Participation in training programs organised by KISS ‘Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences’ (it’s the largest residential institute for the tribals in the world, providing accomodation, food, health care, education from Kindergarten to Post Graduation, vocational training and all other basic amenities of life absolutely free) to facilitate conditional commitment to sustainable livelihoods by addressing the growing problems of literacy, poverty, malnutrition, child labor faced by the tribal districts.
- Project management: Support to the local centres and managing fund raising activities for the sustainability and the transferability of the projects in progress | Manage fundraising activities for the sustainability and transferability of ongoing projects.
