In an era of rapid environmental change, ADDUPT emerges as a catalyst for innovation in the Western Balkans, aiming to transform the green sector through cutting-edge digital vocational training. ADDUPT is a powerhouse of innovation and collaboration. The project is dedicated to strengthening the ties between the vocational education and training (VET) sector and the green industry by developing a comprehensive capacity-building program that includes workshops, digital resources, and educational materials. The goal is to enhance VET organizations’ skills, knowledge, and capabilities, ready them to meet the challenges of the green job market.

ADDUPT has made significant strides in developing four resources to bridge the skills gap in the green sector through digital upskilling. These resources, now available on the project’s website, highlight ADDUPT’s commitment to promoting sustainable growth and quality education:

  1. Operational Framework: An exhaustive guide that provides tools and resources to diagnose the needs of businesses in the green sector, laying a solid foundation for ADDUPT’s future initiatives.
  2. Green Sector Analysis: A thorough analysis of evolving trends and needs in the green sector, offering valuable insights to tailor resources and training programs to the most pressing needs.
  3. Diagnosis of Business Needs in the Green Sector: A detailed examination of the specific challenges and needs of businesses operating in the green industry is essential for developing targeted training and resources.
  4. Handbook on Linking VET Provision with the Green Business Sector: This manual offers tools and methods for integrating business needs into VET curricula, ensuring that education and training align with industry expectations.

The project now focuses on enhancing students’ employability by improving the VET sector’s capacity to offer training and learning resources that meet the green job market’s demands. Future goals include:

  • To Develop guidelines for adapting VET curricula to the needs of the green sector.
  • To Create a training program for the development of digital micro-learning resources.
  • To Implement a virtual learning environment for VET trainers and staff.
  • To Formulate individual IFP action plans to enrich curricula further.
  • To Produce digital micro-learning resources targeted at the green sector.

ADDUPT is committed to making a difference in the Western Balkans, leading the transition to a greener, more digitized future in vocational training. With a clear vision and ambitious goals, the project promises to pave new paths for education and employability in the green sector.
