Digital storytelling for social change: DIG Your Story!

Do you want to fight against manipulated information, radicalization and hate speech?

DIG Your Story! is a Training Course, address to improve participants’ knowledge of digital storytelling as an innovative and transformative tool and its possible applications and benefits in youth work.

Because digital storytelling is more than just telling a story!

It is an inclusion tool engaging the community that can be used in different contexts to solve complex social issues.

We are looking for 2 youth workers, +18 years old, interested in participate in DIG Your Story! project.

A training course, that will be hosted in Dobrinishte (Bulgary), by VIA CIVIC Association, from 13rd to 21st August 2018.

During the 7-days TC, 26 youth workers, leaders, mediators, facilitators, coaches and activists from 12 different countries around Europe (Bulgaria, Ukraine, Belgium, Spain, Latvia, Cyprus, Italy, Croatia, Republic of Macedonia, Georgia, Slovenia, Portugal) they will acquire digital storytelling skills to implement it in their work with young people with different profile.

Digital storytelling, will help civil organizations to give human face to abstractions such as freedom, tolerance, solidarity, etc. to promote universal values and basic rights, to disseminate their performance an results more efficiently and, in so doing, to be a sustainable factor in the social dialogue.

Information about the mobility

Where: Dobrinishte, small village in the Pirin mountains (Bulgaria)

When: 13rd to 21st August 2018.

Accommodation and food: fully covered by the Erasmus+ Programme. Participants will be staying in a family Hotel “Valentino-2

Travel costs: 2 ways travel ticket covered by the Erasmus+ Programme up to a limit of € 275 (as for Erasmus+ Guidelines and Distance Calculator)

Participation fee: €60 (in case you cannot pay it, please contact us)

Profile of participants

  • +18 years old.
  • Good level of English (writing and speaking)
  • To have experience in the civil sector, to be familiar with the youth issues, to possess basic computer digital skills, to show motivated interest in the topic.
