Aïol: One year evs in France on webradio and videomaking

Would you like to live one year experience in France learning web radio techniques and videomaking?

We are loooking for an Italian/resident in Italy volunteer between 18 and 30 years old for AÏOL evs project in Fos-Sur-Mer, near Marseille (France).

The hosting organisation Centre sociale Fosséen  address to kids, young people, as well as adults and families. The centre is organizing educational leisure activities, interactive projects, measures about the parenthood and events in the neighbourhood. Since some years, they are developing a media pole, including a webradio, video production and the improvement of their web page.

Beside the local work, the centre is organizing youth exchanges, particularly with the French centre of Berlin. The team is compounded by three people responsible for the sector “youth” and one coordinator for the multimedia workshops. The aim of their work is to foster the intergenerational and intercultural education, fight against racism and discrimination and to encourage creativity.

The volunteer will:

  • make reports, sound creations or musical programs,
  • learn basics of radio animation and audio software.

Volunteering pre-requisites

  • Nationality: Italian or resident in Italy
  • Age from 18 to 30 years
  • Interest in working with young people and children
  • Basic knowledge of French to facilitate the work with the team. Some computing skills for the realization of the web radio would be appreciated.

Evs Information

Where: Fos-sur-Mer (Marseille, France) 

Reception organization: Centre sociale Fosséen

Duration: 12 months from September 2018

Accommodation: The volunteer will stay in an apartment with other volunteers or on the university campus room with own private bathroom


Language support: There will be a French language course organized in a group twice a week, and the volunteer will have access to the “Online Language Support” implemented by the European Commission.

Travel costs: covered by the programme

What is EVS?

EVS (European Voluntary Service) is an international volunteer program funded by the European Commission. It enables all young people legally resident in Europe, aged between 18 and 30 years, to carry out an international volunteer service in an organization or in a public body in Europe, Africa, Asia or South America for a period ranging from 2 to 12 months.
