The project Green Interculturality, in collaboration with the project Chimes, invites you to the Green-Intercultural Festival of Creativity that will be held on the 17th of June 2022, from 3pm to 6pm, at the Legambiente Sicily branch in Palermo (Via Paolo Gili 4 c/o Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa, Padiglione 13).
The Green-Intercultural Festival of Creativity will take you to explore creative techniques theatre of the Oppressed and the MovementTherapy with a focus on the themes of intercultural dialogue and environmental sustainability.
The festival will start with the presentation of Green Interculturality, a project that aims to promote the inclusion of people with migratory backgrounds through environmental education and sustainable practices.
Through the projection of photos and videos, we will share the activities and workshops done in the context of the project. We will therefore present the Foundation Bricks, a handbook developed with the aim of promoting the adoption of a new perspective for social activities by integrating pedagogical approaches focused on environmental sustainability related to intercultural education, to fully appreciate the great variety of traditions, beliefs, customs, practices, languages and identities that form the ecosystem in our planet Earth.
With the Chimes project we will discover how Illustration and Creative Dance workshops offer a context in which art can fulfill its role as promoter of social inclusion stimulating the creation of meaningful interpersonal relationships and the development of useful skills in different areas of life, both personal and professional.
The Green-Festival will be a unique opportunity, thanks to the presence of the dancer therapist and dancer Soad Ibrahim, to discover how it is possible to exploit the potential of body language as a means of expression and of universal communication to overcome cultural and linguistic barriers.
