SUMMARY:Work and care: a private matter or a collective issue?
DESCRIPTION:\nIs care an individual responsibility or a matter that concerns society as a whole? And what happens when care responsibilities intersect with working life?\n\n\n\nOn 11 November, together with the Municipality of Palermo, we will be discussing the relationship between care, work, wellbeing and gender equality, as part of the European EQUAL-CARE project, under the umbrella of which CARE-DIVIDE is being hosted.\n\n\n\nThrough the launch of Martina Riina’s book ‘Il latte è di tutte’ (the milk is of everyone), a panel discussion with representatives from institutions and the professional sector, and the presentation of the results of the two projects, the event aims to prompt reflection on the social value of care, gender inequalities and the need for a fairer distribution of responsibilities.\n\n\n\nAn opportunity for dialogue to imagine, together, more inclusive working environments and communities, in which care is recognised as a collective responsibility.\n\n\n\nWednesday 11 November 2026\n\n\n\nh 16:00 - 18:00\n\n\n\nArchivio Storico del Comune di Palermo, via Maqueda n°157 - Palermo\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAttendance is free, but places are limited.
