SUMMARY:A training to promote gender balance in care work
DESCRIPTION:\nInformal care work still falls disproportionately on women today, limiting their participation in the labour market and fueling a deep and persistent gender gap. Yet this imbalance is not inevitable: it can be addressed by raising awareness and changing everyday practices in companies, organisations and institutions.\n\n\n\nThe CareDivide project responds to this challenge with a free training programme designed for those who, every day, have the power to make a difference in the workplace: employers, managers, and HR officers and specialists. Workers who personally experience caregiving, or who have colleagues in this situation and wish to help create a more attentive and supportive work environment, are also welcome.\n\n\n\nWhat to expect from the training\n\n\n\nThe programme includes online sessions, structured to encourage active participation and exchange among participants. The key topics include the gender gap in long-term informal care, the stereotypes that sustain it, and the family-friendly practices that organisations can concretely adopt, in line with the European Work-Life Balance Directive.\n\n\n\nObjectives\n\n\n\nThe training aims to:\n\n\n\n\nstrengthen awareness of the value of care work and its impact on gender equality and female employment;\n\n\n\npromote workplace policies and practices in companies that support work-life balance;\n\n\n\nchallenge the gender stereotypes that fuel the informal care gap.\n\n\n\n\nWho can take part?\n\n\n\nThe programme is mainly aimed at employers, managers, and HR officers and specialists.
