CESIE’s Mobility department is devoted to support mobility experiences for people at all ages, in order to overtake borders and sectors and turn the learning process into a real life experience, an experience that has to be strongly valued and shared with the others.

CoCoRa starts: Preventing radicalisation of young people

The recent terror actions are tragic evidence of the continuous need for new strategies, approaches and methods to prevent and respond to radicalisation and violent/militant extremism. The “Communities Counteracting Radicalisation” (CoCoRa) project aims to develop a new, bottom-up and inclusive approach to prevent violent extremism. The five CoCoRa partners met on 10th and 11th December in Helsingør, Denmark, to launch the project, which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission. Partner organisations come from Denmark, Germany, Austria, France and Italy.

The 14th and 15th of January the SecondChanceEducation.eu team gathered in Heerlen, the Netherlands, hosted by partner Betawerk.

SecondChanceEducation.eu (SCE) is a digital platform developed within the DISCO – DIgital Second Chance Opportunities project. The platform is designed especially for the teachers and trainers of second chance education. It is a European learning platform for teachers, providing them with a variety of tools and initiating an active network of second chance education practitioners.

“Resources for Inclusion, Diversity and Equality” for youth workers and training providers will be collected and developed in the recently started RIDE project. In fact, the five European partners will develop a comprehensive Toolbox with a set of fresh, innovative resources and practical tools for youth work practitioners, universities and training providers.

The first of December, in the conference room of Konsert och Kongress of Linkoping, a Swedish, an event took place for the promotion of the project MOBILE – MOBility In Learning in Europe (Multilateral Grundtvig project within the programme for lifelong learning). The invitation was extended to the potential users of the courses developed and implemented thanks to the above mentioned project. The participants, who were entrepreneurs as well as teachers, have shown a huge interest in knowing the potential and qualities of the courses and formative tools that can be found on the website.

The 2nd International Conference of the European Anti-bullying Network was held at the heart of EU institutions, the premises of the European Parliament in Brussels, under the aegis of Greek MEP Miltiadis Kyrkos (S&D Group) and with the participation of Greek and other Members of the European Parliament, as well as representatives of international, European and national organizations active in the field of children’s rights.

From the 6th to the 14th of June 2015 the training course “SENSE – Social ENtrepreneurship & Social media for youth Employability” has been held in Palermo. The project gathered 32 youth workers of different age from 21 countries of the European Union and South Mediterranean area: Italy, Algeria, Bulgaria, Egypt, Estonia, France, Germania, Greece, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, Lithuania, Macedonia, Morocco, Netherlands, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, Romania.

The final partner meeting of the project named MOBILE - MOBility In Learning in Europe was held in the Swedish town of Linkoping. During the meeting, they were able to verify – with great satisfaction – that they had achieved their goal of improving quality and promoting access to international internships for youth and disadvantaged individuals, thanks to the creation of an online platform which allows for the use of educational tools, addressed to different people involved in international mobility experiences (interns, teachers and the hosting institutions’ tutors).

Are you ready for an EVS project in Bosnia? Carpe Diem!

CESIE is looking for an Italian young person (aged from 18 to 30) for an EVS project in Bosnia.

When? 6 months, from March to August 2016.

Hosting organization and activities: The volunteer will be hosted by the youth center Carpe Diem, located in Doboj (Bosnia). The organization works with young people, aimed at improving their conditions and encouraging their active role in society. The volunteer will help the organization in the daily activities such as theater, language courses, movie nights, art and dance workshops.

CESIE looks for 1 Italian young people (from 18 to 30 years old) for an EVS project in Athens (Greece).

When? 6 months, from March to August 2016.

Which activities? The volunteer will support the work with disabled people at EDRA, a non for profit social cooperative dealing with mental health since 2001.

Empowering Youth Climate Ambassadors: training course on climate changes

“Empowering Youth Climate Ambassadors” is a training course based in Denmark for 16 youth workers, aged between 18-30 giving them the chance to contribute towards climate chang, between 2nd to 5th March. They will be trained by 2 professionals.

The aim of the programme is to inspire youth to reflect on climate change and make their individual positive change to the environment.

CESIE is looking for 3 participants.

EVS in Bulgaria dealing with tolerance and European Citizenship
EVS in Bulgaria dealing with tolerance and European Citizenship

CESIE starts the recruitment of 1 volunteer for an EVS project addressed to Italian youth (from 18 to 30 years old).

When? 12 months from middle of February 2016.

Where and which activities? The hosting organization is The Infinite Opportunities Association based in Sofia, Bulgaria. It is an NGO established at the beginning of 2010 that is committed to youth work, active citizenship, promotion of non-formal education and encouraging young people to develop their social and creative potential for a better future for everyone.

It’s never too late to learn ICT

Are you 50 or over? Would you like to learn to use properly a PC, but you don’t trust yourself? Actually it’s not a big deal to learn how to use well a computer!

The ICT course, organized within the Europe+ 50 Project, is a great opportunity to experience effective methods for learning new technology and its applications. The course is for free and will last 20 hours split in 8 sessions, exactly 2 lessons per week for a month.
