“EYE was all I needed”
It was a university day when EYE’s representatives from CESIE explained us about the program. It was a happy contact because this was just what I needed!
I’m a farmer and university student of business administration and I want to open an agricultural brewery in Sicily. I needed to learn more about the job and to be able to run the beer business. I found a host entrepreneur in Spain, Manuel Pereyra, who is the owner and brew master of “Cervezas Mond”.
During 3 and a half months at a host company I undertook different activities that can be divided into operating and theoretical. The operating activities were: raw material selection, grinding, mashing, cooking, fermentation, bottling, labelling, distribution; and the theoretical activities were: defining the business and marketing strategy for my future company.
Exchange of experience between myself and HE has been convenient for both sides. I have been able to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the business, define and finalize my business strategy in order to achieve the company’s business success. Thanks to this experience I take more critical view as I acquired needed knowledge and professional skills.
In my opinion, EYE was all I needed. Everything was excellent. People who worked with me, people who supported me.. I feel better because now I know what I need. Now I know the process of making beer.
The EYE programme and experience was the first step to realize my dream. I strongly advise you to participate in this programme if you want to realize your business!
