Father Luigi Ciotti and CESIE share the same path, stated by common projects and collaborations, which nowadays appear even more significant and important, in contrast to such targeted and intimidating threats. Since only “togetherness can oppose Mafia and corruption”, as the remarkable priest has affirmed. On Danilo Dolci’s 90th birth anniversary CESIE and the president of Libera had the opportunity to strengthen once again their cooperation. In fact Father Ciotti had expressed his desire to visit Borgo di Dio in Trappeto, which has been recently reopened thanks to a project carried out by Fondazione con il Sud, featuring the participation of Centro per lo Sviluppo Creativo Danilo Dolci, CESIE, Libera Palermo and Comune di Trappeto.
The announcement is addressed to people living in Trappeto and neighbouring areas, especially to disadvantaged individuals, migrants, local actors, and the unemployed regardless of their age, gender and level of education.
Three training courses are now available for registration. Our courses are all aimed at improving skills for enhancing the local development of human, cultural, artistic and touristic resources.

Tandem Now, is a two-year Leonardo Transfer of Innovation project funded under the EU Lifelong Learning Programme. The project aims to create role models for migrant youth or youth from ethnic minorities throughout the vocational career, using experience and results of the initial project Tandem. The project will contribute to the effective training of mentors by understanding the needs of young people and local contexts and to develop “blended mentoring” (a mix of face-to-face and online activities). Tandem Now also aims to contribute with best practise examples the training of mentors adapting to the needs of the young people and into each local contexts and tested across the partner countries (Austria, Ireland, Italy, Turkey, Germany and Spain).

From 9th until 17th October will take place in Kranj, Slovenia (vicino Ljubljana) a youth exchange with young representatives from Croatia, Italy, Poland, Spain and Slovenia.
Participants will take part in a variety of workshops, conversations, presentations and case studies that will enhance their employability, develop networking skills, improve their presentation skills and encourage personal and career growth. An opportunity to focus on Entrepreneurship, through the development of business ideas, will be offered too. And, of course, there will be time to have fun and experience the culture of Slovenia and make some international friends!

The event will be part of Libera work camp closing celebrations and Trappeto summer festival, in the frame Borgo di Dio project, co-funded by Fondazione con il Sud.

The “Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs” is promoted by the European Commission and it is an exchange program between entrepreneurs, aimed to encourage the spirit of youth entrepreneurship and international mobility.
Along with the presentation of the Manual, the event will be marked by non formal education activities and the contributions of some women who will share their experience in ALCE project.
The meeting will take place on September 11th 2014 from 16.00 to 19.00 at CESIE, in Via Roma 94, Palermo.

CESIE is glad to invite you to our first Workshop “Open educational resources open your mind”. This workshop is addressed to those teachers and trainers working in schools and VET, who would like to learn more about e-learning tools and methodologies.
The aim of this workshop is to introduce our e-learning course “How to design and facilitate online course in VET context”, which has been developed in the framework of eVET2EDU Supporting Vocational Teachers and Trainers in E-learning (LLP- Leonardo-Transfer of Innovation) project and it is available online at this link.
Six European organizations participated in the project, co-funded by the European Programme – European Integration Fund: Verein Multikulturell (Austria), Feel it! project coordinator, CESIE (Italy), International Education Information Exchange e. V. (Germany), Soros International House (Lithuania), Organisation of Iberoamerican States (Spain), European Multicultural Foundation (United Kingdom). Feel it aimed at raising a positive awareness about migrations, diversity, cultural heritage and related issues by involving young students who created artistic installations in five sensuous stands inspired to migration themes (Path of Diversity) in each partner country (the students of the Academy of Fine Arts of Palermo worked on the Italian PoD).
Reduce cannabis use among young Europeans from 15 to 18 and avoid the risks associated with its use -especially with its abusive use-, is the goal of a project supported by the European Commission, which involved the FAD www.fad.es (Foundation Against Drug Addiction), as coordinator of a group in which there are five other European organizations from four countries (Spain, Italy, Portugal and Romania).

Mobile – Mobility in Learning in Europe – involves 8 partners, coming from different European Countries: Italy, Spain, Germany, Poland, Sweden, United Kingdom, Belgium and the Netherlands. MOBILE aims at promoting international work experiences and at creating learning tools for teachers and enterprises working on mobility projects.
We are looking for candidates for an EVS project in Latvia and in detail in Tukums, a nice town in the western part of the Country. It is located about 60 km from Riga and 20 km from the Baltic Sea. The municipality is formed by the town of Tukums and by 10 villages, while the territory, mostly rural, has many natural resources such as woods, lakes and rivers. Just a nice place to spend a year in volunteering!
