CESIE invites you to the first workshop in marketing and commercialization, the aim of the workshop will be to improve Grundtvig project managers’ know how, to provide practical experience and feedback on their past/actual approach about the commercialization of the European projects results. During the workshop, the project managers will be trained to develop and implement a marketing strategy by a European expert in marketing & licensing, taking into account that, thanks to the EU funds, it was possible to develop very innovative projects and quality products. The latter cannot often reach their potential users due to the lack of appropriate marketing actions.
On May 2013 the SOcial Networks for Local Empowerment (SOLE) project finished with the publication of the SOLE guide called The do-it-yourself Europe: A practical guide to project building and management … SOLE, co-financed with the support of the action 1.2.2 of the Europe for Citizens programme of the European Commission, intended to reduce the gap between local public entities and civil society organizations with no or few experience at transnational level and European institutions. When targeting such organizations, we aspired to provide them with accurate tools to act at European scale. The final result is the SOLE Guide which has been published in 10 different languages! Digital and hard copies are available in: English, Italian, Danish-English, French, Latvian, Macedonian, Romanian, Slovenian and Slovak.
Since the month of April, “Eat Smart” project activities are being carried out, thanks to the co-funding of the programme Youth in Action, action 3.2 of the European Commission. The project aims to spread a sustainable approach in food consumption, promoting youngsters’ creativity and intercultural dialogue through pleasant and amusing approaches: traditional cooking workshops, interviews to professionals, people and participants, and as well as a food fair, which will be held in Palermo next September. On that occasion, it will be possible to taste Sicilian, French, Chinese and Vietnamese dishes and to meet participants coming from the partner countries China, France and Vietnam.
On the 1st of July 10 volunteers will arrive in Palermo from France, Estonia, Spain and Hungary. They are ready to live an unique and unforgettable experience for 9 months: Able like you! Able like you is an European Voluntary Service project that allows the volunteers to support the local staff, offering their personal and professional contribution in various centres of Palermo that work every day with people characterized by mental and physical disabilities.
On the 1stof June 2013 the activities of PANGEA – Volunteering for connecting continents was launched. This is a project of the European Voluntary Service and Youth in action programme financed by the European Commission. PANGEA is a world-wide EVS project that involves 27 European volunteers from Italy, France, Hungary and Spain which are committed in activities of volunteering for a six months period. In addition to this, three volunteers from Nepal, Senegal and Cameroon will be volunteering in Palermo for 10 months.
From the 1st to the 8th of September 2013 the Training Course “Access-Inclusion-Growth” will take place in Thessaloniki (Greece). Youngsters from Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Armenia ,Georgia and Ukraine will work together on the problems of the young women with disabilities, and to seek for opportunities to address this issue through youth work, in the most sustainable way.
From the 2nd to 9th of August 2013 the international exchange “Social Media as a tool for social change” will take place in Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt). Youngsters from both side of the Mediterranean will meet and discuss about how social media can reinforce participation of young people in their democracy and in political issues. Most people agree that media are powerful in promoting healthy democratic rights of people.
