“Giornata del Borgo Comune”, third meeting with the local community included in the project “Borgo di Dio”, which is funded by Fondazione con il Sud, took place on Saturday 9 March at 9 a.m.
The Day was divided in two parts. The first part of the event was held in the Council Hall of the Municipality of Trappeto, where the project and the Day were introduced by the Mayor Giuseppe Vitale, followed by Anna Raspanti who underlined the significance of the event.
From the 7th to the 8th of March the fifth meeting of CVE – Corporate Volunteering as a bridge between the working world and the schools project was held in London.
During the London meeting, the partners have worked on the structure and content of the training course for teachers, school directors and school staff, with the aim of developing methods and way of cooperation between the schools and the business world.
SUNIA GEEL is an expression that comes from the language of Irish Travellers and that can be translated into “Take care of yourself”. This is the name of a new European initiative funded by Daphne III Programme (DG Justice). It started on 1st March 2013 and will have 2 years duration.
The initial meeting took place in Bucharest (Romania), between the participating organisations coming from five different European countries: Ireland, Romania, Germany, Austria and Italy.
From the 19th to the 21st of February the kick-off meeting of Tandem Now project was held in Innsbruck.
The project aims to create role models for migrant youth or young people from ethnic minorities during their vocational career, using experience and results of the initial project Tandem.
Creative Learning Communities (CLC) is a project funded by the Lifelong Learning programme, Leonardo Da Vinci 2011 – 2013, Development of Innovation, and it was conceived to explore and improve the teaching and learning processes aiming at the acquisition of competences such as pro-activeness, sense of initiative and innovation. The Project involves associations, companies and foundations operating in Austria, Italy, Malta, Poland and England.
The second partners’ meeting of the two-year project Supporting Vocational Teachers And Trainers In E-Learning, in the framework of the Lifelong Learning Programme, Action Leonardo Da Vinci – Transfer of Innovation, was held in the beautiful city of Murcia (Spain) on March 7th and 8th.
The aim of the project is to adapt an online learning course for educators to professional schools’ teachers and trainers, considering the needs and requests in the partner countries, as well as to support trainers and teachers who work in the field of Education and Vocational Training in implementing dynamic, open and innovative methods.
During the project the EU-Xchange web platform developed in DEEP.Com will be translated in to German, Spanish, French and Italian, moreover the project will develop new services for GRU project co-ordinators and managers, these specific support actions will help them market and sell their project results.
The International Conference “Internet and Young People: Risks and Opportunities”was held on 22th February 2013 at the University of Palermo, closing the project Virtual Stages Against Violence.
Mario Morcellini (Director of the Department of Communication and Social Research, Sapienza University of Rome) participated together with the sociologists Gianna Cappello and Fabio Massimo Lo Verde, Maria Luisa Altomonte (General Director for Regional Office of Education in Sicily) and the coordinators of the project from the different countries that took part in the implementation of the project.
