Let’s learn from each otherFrom the 10th to the 19th of May the Training Course “Let’s learn from each other” will be held in Ganja City (Azerbaijan). For 10 days, 24 young people coming from six countries (Spain, Italy, Turkey, Moldova, Georgia and Azerbaijan) will gather to address the delicate issue of intercultural learning, trying to improve the abilities, knowledge and skills in this field, also at working level. The training course is addressed to youth workers, young people belonging to minorities but also to those who are interested to the theme of intercultural dialogue and to the rights of weaker groups. The training course will be a good chance to share experience and knowledge about an issue that is becoming more and more typical for the world of our time, an unmissable chance to discuss the concrete tools allowing a constructive and efficient use of cultural diversity.

Let's act... It is time!After the Arab Spring what are the new perspectives of active citizenship in the euro-mediterranean countries? How will young citizens be able to spread more active participation within the society in the Mediterranean region? These will be the three focuses of the “Let’s act… It is time!” project, taking place in Tunis (Tunisia) from the 4th to the 12th of May 2013. Through intercultural and non-formal learning during the various steps of the exchange, participants will acquire new skills in the field of active citizenship, becoming themselves tools for change in the community they belong to.

In history the city has always represented the point of union and intersection of commerce in Europe (North and South, East and West). Its small size makes possible to entirely visit and cross it with the bike in half an hour. City of music and cabaret, Leipzig boasts a lively cultural scene throughout the year. The local organization that takes care of that project, Fairbund e Verein is a non-profit organization that has been working in the field of supporting families with difficulties and in the development and implementation of European projects.

Collaborate in the field of fair trade with EVSCESIE gives you the opportunity to participate in a project of Fairtrade Lėtzebuerg asbl (Luxembourg) and create your own EVS experience for a period of 12 months, starting from September 2013.

Fairtrade Lėtzebuerg organisation welcomes volunteers from abroad in order to achieve the following aims:

  • work on development education in primary and secondary schools, in youth associations and in an ethnic shop for fair trade products and philosophy.
  • raise awareness and a sense of empathy with disadvantaged producers in the South.

Selection for European Voluntary Service in Senegal

Selection for European Voluntary Service in SenegalCESIE started the selection process for 2 Italian volunteers who will be involved in the activities of the Senegalese organization Jeunesse en action GNO FAR within the PANGEA project that will take place in Zinguichor, in the South of Senegal for a period of 6 months from the 1st of June till the 31stof November 2013. PANGEA project will involve 5 volunteers coming from different European countries: Italy, France, Hungary and Spain. The volunteers will be involved in the activities of the hosting organization as well as of the local centres, doing tasks related to sustainable development.

Climate Change – Workshop

Climate ChangeOn the 15th of March 2013 there will be a workshop under the project Communicating Ecological Responsibility in a Multicultural Environment: Communication Techniques for Mobilizing Youth Action on Climate Change, in Palermo, at the CESIE centre. After travelling in Kenya, which involved three participants and a coordinator, and in which the principles and essential bases for creating and editing a video were taught, we were ready to tackle a task that saw your participation and that allowed you to acquire knowledge and new skills in order to develop a film and, at the same time to increase your awareness of this phenomenon. The participants conveyed the concepts treated in Kenya and everything took place over a day, precisely on March the 15th. Following this meeting, we will set a date in the month of April, for the recovery of a mini-movie, filmed directly by the participants, that will be part of the final product of the project, the official video-documentary.

EVS in Bulgaria: Opportunities for personal and professional growth

Winnevs 2Would you like to live an intercultural experience in a magical city, surrounded by green areas, in contact with young people from different cultures? Would you like to work for a radio?
The CE.SIE is looking for a volunteer to be involved in the project Winnevs 2 of the International Initiatives for Cooperation” (Bulgaria), within the EVS programme. For a period of four months, starting from the 1st April 2013, seven volunteers from each country, will be actively involved in youth activities and initiatives in the hospitable town of Razlog (Bulgaria) and will have the opportunity to come into contact with different cultural identities, values and social perceptions and share it with the young people of the place. In addition, you will take part in a training course on the development and implementation of a project at national and international level. The skills acquired during the training will be transferred and made available to the participating organizations and the youth of the country.

Alternative-V – Kiev

Alternative-VCESIE is looking for 2 volunteers to be included in the project ALTERNATIVE-V, which will be held in various communities in the city of Kiev, Ukraine and which will be attended by 6 young people from Spain, Poland and Italy for a period of 12 months, starting from May the 1st, 2013. The project aims at providing volunteers opportunities for intercultural learning, new skills and capacities of organizational and community development, multilingualism, through their participation in local communities and the promotion of active citizenship.
