Higher Education and Research
The Higher Education and Research Department, established in 2012, holds the primary responsibility for supporting higher education and applied research in Europe and Partner Countries, contributing to the creation and development of innovation and knowledge society.
International Staff at the Department apply qualitative and quantitative research methods to a wide range of sectoral and transdisciplinary activities, maximising their impact at local and international level. These activities are aimed at cross cutting priorities (such as ethics and gender issues, open data access etc.) to support social and economic development.
- Modernisation and internationalisation of HEIs;
- Responsible Research and Innovation for social needs;
- Capacity building, Quality assurance and evaluation;
- Creation of synergy between formal and non-formal education systems.
