Building a social farm and crafting social rehabilitation EVS in Hungary

Would you like to improve your professional competences about crafting  and live a unique life experience in abroad?

We are looking for a highly motivated Italian young person (18-30 years old) for an European Voluntary Service through a project called Building a social farm in Hungary for 6 months, giving the opportunity to work with people living in physical disability.

The mobility opportunity is open for 1 Italian/living in Italy who would like to have an enriching learning experience in European projects.

The volunteer will be actively involved in the activities of the receiving organisation Fébé Evangelistic Charity Service in a small city close to Budapest that provides social rehabilitation to people living with physical disability. Piliscsaba is a small town of 8.000 inhabitants and it is an ideal place for someone who likes rural environment.

The volunteer will be involved in following sections within our institution:

  • Biogardening;
  • Swimming pool;
  • Joinery;
  • Printing;
  • Social farm.

The volunteers who choose us, will have the chance to try each department then bring the decision where they would like to get involved.

The volunteer will also:

  • develop teamwork competences,
  • improve skills in the field of non-formal education and in the management of activities.
  • gain experiences in working with disable people.

 

Volunteer’s profile

We would like to host someone who feel comfortable working together with people having disability, is able to work alone and willing to work in a team too, and able to work in the planning, executing, and creative phases of work.

Ideal if volunteer has basic English knowledge.

Where: Piliscsaba (25km from Budapest) Hungary

Hosting organisation: Fébé Evangelistic Charity Service

Duration: 6 months

When: 04/07/2018 until 04/01/2019

Accommodation, allowance and food: Food allowance, pocket money in accordance with Erasmus+ regulations, weekly once return train ticket to Budapest city centre, accommodation a guest house.

 

Pocket money: volunteer will receive a pocket money to cover personal expenses

Travel costs: Travel to and from Budapest airport at the beginning and at the end of the project

What is EVS?

EVS (European Voluntary Service) is an international volunteer program funded by the European Commission. It enables all young people legally resident in Europe, aged between 18 and 30 years, to carry out an international volunteer service in an organization or in a public body in Europe, Africa, Asia or South America for a period ranging from 2 to 12 months.
