Do you like sport?
Are you willing to meet new people and get involved in a new alternative experience?
Do you want to become a sport facilitator?

We are looking for 10 young people – 18-30 years old living in Palermo – to participate in a local training course to become sport facilitators and, then, leading sport activities.

You will be involved in the following activitie.

Local training course

5 mornings or afternoons (3-4 hours) of training taking place in Palermo at the end of November or December: the programme will be scheduled according also to the participants availability. The training aims to give transversal and vocational competences about sport as educational tool and about the role of the sport facilitator.

Recovery of a public space for sport activities

After the local training, on January and February 2018 – around 2 days per week -, the 10 participants will be involved in the recovery of a public space to be used for the following sport activities.

Sport and educational activities

From March to May 2018 – around 2 days per week-, the sport facilitators will plan and lead sport activities (sport tournament, games) in the area previously reconverted.

Support to Mediterraneo Antirazzista

Together with youngsters coming from Span, Holland, Greece, Bulgaria e Bosnia, they will have the opportunity to support the organisation of the Mediterraneo Antirazzista 2018 edition.

Through this experience based on dynamic, practical and interactive activities, you will able to play a key role in an European project; moreover you will learn and teach to other peers sport as a tool of integration and socialization for young people and local community.

At the end of this learning path, you will get a certificate of participation, attesting the acquired competences.

These activities belong to MATCH, a European project co-funded by the Erasmus + Programme, Collaborative Partnership in field of Sport) that intends to foster an increased participation of refugees and local young people in sport activities and to create a constructive dialogue between different social groups.
