Objectives:

• Giving youth the opportunity to experience living and working in a different context.
• Promotion of the concepts of peace and non-violence.
• Promotion of cultural exchange between religions, cultures, traditions.
• Personal growth and development of each volunteer.
• Improvement and development of already existing projects run by CE.S.I.E.
• Logistical and organisational support activities.
• Development of CE.S.I.E’s network.
• Educational activities with local community.
• Creation of a database of news, information, and contacts.
• Developing in each volunteer an awareness of Europe and the Euro-Mediterranean area.

Activities:

• Participation in activities for community sustainable development.
• Develop projects that promote cooperation in the EuroMediterranean area.
• Awareness rising about the Euro-Mediterranean area.
• Research into the possibilities and projects promoted on the territory.
• Creation of a map of the territory with particular reference to actors linked or relevant to CE.S.I.E’s actions.

CE.S.I.E, in collaboration with OAKE Europe, is holding IDEAS workshop 2010 in Brussels on the 18th and 19th January 2010.

This meeting will bring together CE.S.I.E’s partners, old and new, and will have the following objectives:

• To promote networking;
• To develop applications with the various 2010 calls for proposals in mind;
• To share skills and experience of the different EU funding programmes.
