The Leonardo da Vinci Program is a sector-based program which is placed in the context of the larger Lifelong Learning Program 2007-2013, founded on the Decision of 15.11.2006 (n. 1720/2006/CE) and its general objectives are:
1. To support those who participate in activities of training and continuous training in the acquisition and in the use of knowledge, competences and qualification, to facilitate the personal development, employability and the participation in the European labour market
2. To support the quality and innovation of the improvement in systems, in the institutions and in the practice of the instruction and trainings;
3. To enhance the attractiveness of instruction, training and mobility activities for the employers and for individuals and to facilitate the mobility of trainings for the employees.
In this new phase Leonardo represents an articulation based on diverse types of actions which, though specific, are united by the goal to propose interventions based on composite planning elaboration and quality requirements:
• Mobility of individuals (trainings and exchanges);
• Multilateral projects of innovation transfer and multilateral projects of innovation development;
• Projects and multilateral networks of experts and organizations dealing with specific themes;
• Bilateral and multilateral partnerships dealing with topics of the reciprocal interest of the partners.
